The reason why i din post for so long: common test is coming
The reason why i am able to post now: common test is over, duh...
haha...
Anyway yar, the common tests are over now. So, i am not so stressed for the moment. =D
Suddenly a thought rushed to my head. The scenario unfolds itself...
A: Wow... u take thriple sciences. Can u cope well?
B boasts: Of cos! I got 4 As. I have no idea how i did it.
A (reluctantly):Ic... u are so clever
B: neh.... *grins*
A: So wat do u want to be when u grow up?
B: *Thinks for a while but has no answer* Hmm... lets hear about u first
A knows that B was obviously trying to change the topic: Well, i want to be a scientist.
That is why i am taking only 3 subs, Bio, Chem and Maths. My interest is Bio, how abt u?
B: Err... I duno...
Obviously some people do not know why we are studying. Some people think, "I study because i study, do u have a problem with that?" Well, they do not know the reason behind studying. One studies because it is their interest. A's interest is Bio, that was why he took bio. B, under pressure from everybody he knows, takes thriple science as he thinks that taking thriple science is better. But better in wat way? Its a wonder if u can cope. Thriple science may seem that u will have a higher chance in being employed in the world. Is that true? NO. It is better to absorb 100% of 2 sciences then failing all 3.
People tend to think that ite is the end of the road, some even cried when they heard they have been posted to poly. Nope. It was just another path to success, an easier one i must say. Poly have their study restrictions. One musnt be lead astray in the process. One gd example, my senior* got expelled from poly. Why? Skipped lectures and failed tests. JC isnt success, poly isnt too. Thriple science isnt success, neither is Bio, chem maths. Success is in the hands of the person. In the future, u will be working with ur instincts, ur abilities, ur leadership qualities and ur socialising skills. Build upon this and u will be deemed successful.
Remember if u want to noe more about ur subject, go to the U. Otherwise u will be just wasting ur time. A Level filters out the more intellectual. Amongst these are nerds who study for the sake of studying (Long Ge inclusive). Even the aspect of General knowledge is important.
